Circulatory System Adventure

Please write a fictional adventure story that includes the following points:

1) Names and internal descriptions of all structures encountered on one loop (adventure) around the circulatory system (4 heart chambers, 4 heart valves, blood vessels, and capillaries). The sequence of the 20 required structures were given in class. Please underline the name of each structure. (20 points possible)

2) Descriptions of encounters with 3 types of blood cells (you pick). (6 points possible)

3) Changes of pressure (systolic when the ventricles contract and diastolic when the ventricles relax) in arteries, capillaries (just enough to push you through in single file), & veins (virtually no pressure but valves keep you from flowing backward). (4 points possible)

4) Oxygen and CO2 levels and level changes (oxygenation and deoxygenation). (5 points possible)

5) At least one encounter with pathology (something wrong) such as hypertension, narrowing of artery passageways due to plaque build up, a heart attack due to a coronary artery plaque, a blood clot, an aneurism (ballooning of an artery), or a stroke (due to a plaque or clot in the brain). (5 points possible)

Typed, written without spelling errors, and grammar correctness (5 points possible)

Creative and fun adventure that is both descriptive and imaginative (5 points possible)
