4) Reading assignment: Ch 1 section 1; outline the reading; do vocabulary with cues - (trifold lined paper: column 1 vocab, column 2 definition paraphrased, column 3 draw pic that reminds you of word's meaning)
5) online pretest assessment (CANCEL THE PRETEST! THE WEBSITE IS HAVING ISSUES)

Students will select and use appropriate tools and technology to perform tests, collect data, analyze relationships, and display data. 1) Go to library to get books
2) Discussion of Section I: Biology, Life Characteristics, & Hierarchy
3) Sci. Meth. Introduction: & Stinky Science Lab
4) Homework due Monday: Outline CH 1 Sect 3; Vocab Cues Sect 3; Sect 1 Study Guide

Sept 10

Students will identify and communicate sources of unavoidable experimental error possible reasons for inconsistent results, such as uncontrolled conditions.

1) Due: Ch 1 Sect 3 Outline, Vocab & Cues Sect 3, & Sect 1 Study Guide
2) Finish "Stinky Science Lab" and wrap up questions.
3) Discussion of Life Characteristics
4) Vocabulary Practice Site for Friday's test
5) Homework: Study Guide Ch 1 section 3; Practice Vocab; bring wind turbine blade material (notecards, aluminum pie tins, 2-liter bottle, etc)
