Pedigree Analysis

The holiday season can be a great opportunity to get genetic trait information about people you know or are related to. This project is fairly simple and requires you:

  1. Use 3 or more people that are related (2 parents and an offspring minimum) and analyze their phenotypes for 3 different traits.
  2. Produce 3 pedigrees for the traits (a separate pedigree must be drawn for each trait).
  3. Analyze whether you think each trait could possibly be dominant, recessive, or sex-linked.
  4. Explain your reasoning for your analysis.

Choose 3 of the above traits to analyze your family for.  You will produce a pedigree of the results for each trait you analyze.  Carefully take the data for this study in the following table:
