Describing
Evidences for evolution grow on a daily basis as scientists continue to do studies in genetics, biochemistry, and paleontology. Gaps in the fossil record are closing as new ones are discovered, classified, and placed to complete the picture. You now have an opportunity to share with the class information you find about current events dealing with evolution. Please do the following:
- Use reputable newspaper and magazine sources to find current evidences discovered by scientists that either support or refute evolution. A list of reputable sources would include:
- CNN news (choose to search only cnn.com)
- BBC news (choose to search only BBC news)
- MSNBC
- LA Times
- Write a 3 paragraph summary of the article and include:
- Describe who is doing the study and where it is occurring
- What are the evidences that have been uncovered or discovered.
- Do the findings support or refute evolution? Explain.
- Please post your paragraph into the EBoards named "Evidences".
- Please evaluate your classmates according to the rubric in "assess others."
- After you have been evaluated, read other peer articles and summarize what you see.
- Are there current evidences that support evolution.
- Do current evidences refute evolution.
- What were the most outstanding postings / articles (list at least 3 and tell why you chose them).
